Need reviews on LG A530-D.AE50A2 Laptop

Hi Guys

Needs some helpful reviews on LG A530-D.AE50A2 or LG A520-D.AE50A2
Laptop. I want to buy a laptop in 50+ range which max features. It seems to have many like 3d, full hd.

Please provide some good reviews. Also if you have some good models in that range in mind. I am also battery conscious.

what will be the main purpose of this laptop?

Gaming (Not very high end), Movies, surfing. I use file conversion softwares a lot and in my current laptop it takes hours to convert a movie type (eg mkv to avi).

then a sandy bridge based system will be good for you...you can use quick sync technology to convert videos in seconds..

I really feel 3D is kind of a useless feature, I doubt you will get a good experience with a 15" screen..you might just get a bad headache...

I had seen a few laptops from Asus with a Full HD screen, you got any brand preferences ?

No such preferences but as per reviews from a friend I don't want to go with Acer as his Laptop had some display issues within a year and Acer support refused to replace it. So it was rendered useless within a year as display change costs a lot. I am looking for atleast 3-4 year good performance after such investment.


I read that latest Ivy bridge is better than sandy. I am not very much inclined to full HD but reading some reviews it seems its a requirement for future. But I feel if i can convert full hd videos to semi hd and then see, than also they should show some great colors. For this also I need speed.


I am also ok with AMD if it can provide that high speed. Its just that I want to get the best out of the money I invest. Thanks for your help.
