GPU Overheating.?

for last few months i am facing problem while playing games..all games whether new or old started stuttering after 5min of gameplay.So i installed MSI afterburn and found out that as soon as the gpu temp reaches 70'C games starts stuttering..i think i need to clean the cpu...what to do?

clean the fins in the GPU...loads of dust gets collected on the card heatsink...
My 4850 used to go up to 110C while gaming!

70 is not that risky for a GPU (For a CPU it is)


My GPU idles at 50


Try changing the thermal paste and cleaning the heatsink.

gpu temp doesn't go above 75'C...still i face problems while playing max payne 3..i'll lower down the settings and see what happens

Which PSU you got? Does the game stutter or you get artifacts? Clean the GPU and see...tell us if the problem persists..

i have cm 500w, don't remember the exact name..and gpu was pretty when i opened cpu..
