Verbatim Store'n'Go Pinstripe 32GB Pen Drive Review

A USB flash drive is a data storage device that includes flash memory with an integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. USB flash drives are typically removable and rewritable, and physically much smaller than a floppy disk. Most weigh less than 30g. Some allow up to 100,000 write/erase cycles, depending on the exact type of memory chip used, and a 10 year shelf storage time.

A flash drive consists of a small printed circuit board carrying the circuit elements and a USB connector, insulated electrically and protected inside a plastic, metal, or rubberized case which can be carried in a pocket or on a key chain, for example.

USB flash drives draw power from the computer via the USB connection. Some devices combine the functionality of a digital audio player with USB flash storage; they require a battery only when used to play music. Pen drive is of  2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of capacity. Nowadays we can find high speed  pen drive too from Kingston, Corsair and Transcend. Speed somehow near to hard disk.

Recently Verbatim launched pen drive named Store 'n' Go. It has a unique push pull mechanism which protect the USB connection when it is not in use without the need for  separate cap which is easily lost.

Pros:
  • High Speed
  • Small factor
  • Light weight
  • Push-pull mechanism
  • Huge storage space
  • Cheap price
  • Solid build

Cons:
  • Looks ugly
  • No Led light indicator
