This is google's entry in the smart phone market, and its a pretty darn good one. The pictures do not do justification to the phone, it looks better than in the pictures.

Its an Android based phone, just like the Milestone and the Hero. The Nexus One is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and has 512MB of RAM. Who would have imagined a 1GHz processor on a phone even just 6 months back ?

Its got a 3.7" full touch, but with a WVGA(480 x 800 pixels) resolution and AMOLED screen technology blow the competition away in terms of clarity of image, color and contrast.

It has a 5MP camera with an LED flash and auto focus. This phone takes decent photos even in dim light unlike some other phones in this category.

It comes with a 4GB memory card which i feel is a bit less.  This is obviously expandable, so not that big an issue. The battery life suffers heavily due to the 1GHz processor.

For a price tag of $530, its definitely not for the masses but is pretty competitively priced for this segment, but definitely not an iPhone killer has has plenty of scope for improvement.

I thought it was a failure. Read some articles stating that. May be I am mistaken.

Its not a total failure, just not an iphone killer. A good phone none the less.
