If the reports are true, Intel's first attempt on tablet sector will host Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered by a Intel's Atom Medfield platform. Though Intel is leaving option for manufacturers to use any version of Android, it is designed to give its best on Android 4.0 according to sources. The Intel has lots of hope in this entry into tablet CPU sector as the market which it is dominant is falling heavily in growth rate compared to mobile devices where like its all time partner Microsoft, it has little presence. Though Microsoft has tied up with Nokia for smart phone OS Windows Phone Mango and looking forward its entry into tablet market with Windows 8 which even supports ARM, Intel has a right step put ahead. As for availability of first Android Tablet with Intel CPU, it is expected to come by Spring 2012.

Is Android a good tablet OS ? Though it is doing pretty well in smart phone sector and remains the best option for tablet makers other than Apple, it was not able to produce an Android tablet whose name you remember in first thougths. Leave your comments.
