Well, in case you did not know(well, I did not), you can get wifi tethering on your Nokia Symbian smartphone, all you need is Joiku,a small app that makes wifi tethering possible. So now, you can share you mobile internet with your friends or just use it for your laptop,so now you dont have to buy those USB modems for you to connect your laptop to the internet.

You can download the free version from here:
Joiku Lite (free)

Some other phones like SE vivaz and vivaz pro also support it.

I have been using the free version, looks good enough, most essential needs are met. I got pretty good coverage, my full room had good access. Pretty sure it will be a battery killer, but I can live with that...

hahaha android fanboys! :P

Interestingly, me too came across this app today. Didn't knew that there is a free version available. Thanks Rajan.

Is the process as simple as starting the application ? Or do we need to do anything else ?

i had used this earlier, but it doesn't seem to work for me. just to clarify, it makes your phone as wifi hotspot right ? since i didn't have any other wireless device @ home, i asked my friend to try to connect his phone with mine through wifi and it didn't seem to work.

let me try from the above link again :)
